The Prologue is Coming – Get Ready to Step Beyond the Veil

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming release of our new ‘quick-start’ introduction to the Beyond the Veil universe; the Prologue.

Following the original alpha release of our Starter Kit back in October 2023 we’ve been hard at work implementing feedback, refining the mechanics, and generally improving our core offering. The result of the grind is a solid 70 page booklet that can hardly be summed up as a traditional quick-start!

But don’t let the page count put you off, as a beta release we’ve stayed true to our mission of keeping the complexity to a minimum while ensuring a detailed and feature-rich product for players and Overseers alike.

Included in the booklet you will get:

• A ‘5 minute’ summary of the core rules - enough to get you started in a hurry

• Full mechanics for each of the primary aspects of the game - from Investigator generation to our newly implemented chase mechanics (some Entities should be avoided at all costs…)

• Rich lore to introduce you to the Beyond the Veil setting

• A variety of tips, tricks, and tables to make running your game easy

• Samples of the full range of customisation options that will be available in the full release

• Several resources to bring your games to life - and links to many more free to download game aids

Sounds good doesn’t it?

Well there’s more! More details will follow in special blogs related to each subject but we are also working on an accompanying module, the first episode in our Endless Triangle Anthology. Revamps of our previously available, and free to access modules are also in the works to align them with the new version of the mechanics.

The Beyond the Veil Prologue launches on May 26th 2025 and digital versions will be available to purchase via this link but if you have plans to be at UKGE this year you’ll find us at stand 951 in Hall 2 where physical copies will be available as well as the opportunity to try out a game led by one of the developers.
